Getting started & help

Your first useful task.
One step at a time.

For contractors with approved company access. Start here, save a reviewed result and check that you can reopen it.

01 / Access & company setup

Open the right workspace.

Existing approved users: open app.roofmanos.com and select Sign in. Use the sign-in method approved for your company. New to Roof Man OS? Request pilot access first. Creating a login identity does not establish Contractor trial eligibility or company access.

Before starting

Confirm the company name and your permissions. Your company administrator controls membership, enabled modules and company defaults such as pricing and document details. Review the defaults you are allowed to see; ask your administrator to correct missing or inaccurate settings.

Use a supported online browser.

Start on a reliable connection. iPad operation and recovery must be confirmed for your pilot workspace. Do not assume offline saving is available.

02 / Required information

Enter what you know.
Check what is required.

Input typeWhat it means
RequiredInformation the current action needs: for an estimate, a valid system, warranty selection, application method and positive measured area. Follow the validation shown in your enabled interface.
ConditionalAdditional measured scope, preparation or costs required by the selected roof/system. Shipping or equipment costs apply when used. Do not turn unknown quantities into zero.
OptionalHelpful notes and supporting observations when not required by the current action. Customer presentation still needs enough identifying information to make the document useful.
Administrator controlledCompany access, module activation, permissions, approved rates and company document defaults. Ask your administrator when a control is locked or unavailable.

Project, roof and customer requirements depend on the screen and action. Review the current missing-field message rather than assuming every field is required.

03 / First-job walkthrough

Finish one meaningful task.

Standalone Quick Estimate can begin without a project, customer, inspection or drone where enabled. The following walkthrough uses a company-approved practice job to teach the saved job/estimate path. The example below is synthetic: a 5,000 SF commercial modified-bitumen roof. It is not a product specification for an actual building.

  1. Open or create a permitted job.

Open your company’s job/project navigation. Choose an existing practice job, or create one if you have permission. Enter the identifying building, customer and roof information required by that screen. Save and reopen the job before continuing.

  2. Open Quick Estimate, if enabled.

Select Quick Estimate in the available navigation. The original estimator uses Quick Estimate, Estimating & Network and Saved Estimates. If they are absent, confirm access with your administrator.

  3. Enter a measured example.

For this practice example, select the available ENVIR-O-SIL modified-bitumen system, 15-year option, Roll application and 5,000 SF. Enter only known scope quantities. Confirm suitability and requirements before using any selection on real work.

  4. Calculate and review.

Check material quantities, then review current company-approved material rates, labor, tax and other job costs. A missing or unpriced item needs review. The installed price and $/SF should reflect the reviewed inputs; the public example price is not a rate to copy.

  5. Save a reviewed revision.

Where enabled, use Review Estimate, inspect the internal costs and customer preview, then use Save reviewed Core revision. Confirm the saved revision and reopen it from Saved Estimates.

  6. Check the result and continue.

Confirm the reopened scope and totals match your review. Inspect the customer PDF where enabled. Return to the job and follow its available stages and tasks. Saving an estimate does not complete every project stage.

Your first meaningful result

A permitted job and reviewed estimate that you can reopen with the expected scope and totals. If estimate saving is unavailable, stop at a saved project record and ask for access before proceeding.

04 / Know the state of your work

Calculated is not saved.

StateWhat you have
Browser-session draftInputs in the current browser session. Do not rely on them surviving a tab close, sign-out or interruption.
Calculated material previewComputed quantities to inspect. This is not a saved estimate or purchasing instruction.
Reviewed pricingRates, labor, applicable tax and other costs checked for this job. Review alone does not prove persistence.
Saved Core revisionAn identified estimate revision confirmed by reopening it. Check the revision, scope and totals.
Customer documentA preview or PDF to review. A PDF is not proof of delivery. Issue/send only through separately approved controls.
Supplier-request draftNonbinding internal material/rental preparation. It is not a sent request, order or purchase authorization.

The standalone estimator and saved-roof calculator differ. Use the fields shown on your screen. For example, a standalone measured primer-area field is not a yes/no primer switch.

05 / Common issues

Get back to useful work.

I can sign in, but I cannot see my company or module.

Confirm you used the correct account and company workspace. Ask the company administrator to check membership, role and enabled modules. Signing up for an identity does not approve a Contractor trial.

A required field or blocked-action message appears.

Read the message and return to the named field. Enter verified information in the requested units. If the message is unclear or you lack permission, capture it and ask for help. Do not enter invented measurements to bypass it.

My estimate is incomplete or contains an unpriced item.

Check the selected system, measured quantities and current company-approved rates. Treat missing prices as missing information. Review labor and applicable tax before saving or presenting a total.

I am unsure whether my changes saved.

Keep the current tab open. Look for a saved record or revision identifier, then reopen the saved item and compare the inputs and totals. A calculation, preview or downloaded PDF alone does not prove a Core save.

The connection dropped or the screen stopped responding.

Avoid repeated Save or Send actions. Reconnect, preserve the visible information where practical and check the existing saved record before retrying. Record the time, last action and any error. Do not assume an offline queue preserved your edits.

Can I email the estimate or send materials to a supplier?

Only when your company has separately approved and enabled that action. The initial introduction keeps customer delivery, reminders, supplier sending and purchasing controlled. A prepared draft or customer preview does not send anything.

06 / Pilot availability

Access is confirmed
for your company.

The original estimator, reviewed Core revisions, customer PDF and nonbinding request preparation have controlled qualification evidence. Guided Roof Inspection and asset-linked evidence also have retained working qualification, with current device/session and instrument-form acceptance still required. This does not make them available to every account.

Guided inspections, built-in job photos, Aerial Intelligence, full project progression, mobile recovery, reports and Vault require the enabled company workflow and acceptance. See the broader platform capability list for the current boundaries. Automated customer/supplier sending, live signatures, billing and self-service trial enrollment are not offered by this website.

The intended pilot is a small, controlled 30-day introduction. Eligibility, invitation, company setup, support, expiry and billing safeguards must be confirmed before a trial begins.

07 / Get help

Show us where you stopped.

Include your company, screen name, approximate time, what you were trying to do, what happened and the steps that reproduce it. Include a screenshot with sensitive customer information hidden. Never send passwords or access tokens.
